Jessica Hayward joined the Lighthouse team in August 2016. She completed her Master of Science in counseling psychology from National University in May 2016 with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is currently a registered MFT intern working towards her hours for licensure. Jessica’s counseling experience comes primarily from counseling children and adolescents in school settings on issues ranging from anxiety, depression, and anger management to interpersonal relationships, communication difficulties, and coping strategies. At Lighthouse, using psycho-educational techniques in schools, she believes in helping children by giving them the skills they need to succeed in social, emotional, and behavioral reasoning. She is passionate in working with children and families on creating an atmosphere for healing and understanding. In her free time she enjoys hiking, trips to Lake Tahoe, cooking, photography, and spending time with friends and family.
