Kathleen Hoffman

Licensed Family and Marriage Therapist

Kathleen began her therapist career at the Lighthouse as a student trainee/intern obtaining licensure as a Lighthouse employee. She will celebrate ten years of service at the Lighthouse June 2016. Previously, she worked for nine years to provide teen workshops for at risk youth through an organization based in Boise, Idaho. At Lighthouse, Kathleen co-created the Managing Your Emotions, Anger and More… psycho-educational group process. In addition to her career as a therapist, she has been employed as a special education teacher of children with disabilities for 22 years. Kathleen is also experienced in equine-assisted psychotherapy services. Serving others to create a better life and improved independence has been her passion. She is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento with a undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and supplemental degree in Biology.  She holds master’s degrees in Marriage Family Therapy and School Counseling.
