Kathy has been an individual, child, and family therapist and parent educator for non-profit organizations in the Placer and Sacramento region for the past twenty three years. She specializes in sexual abuse, child abuse and neglect prevention, juvenile delinquency, foster care and adoption, co-parenting and parenting coaching, depression and anxiety disorders, ADHD and other disruptive behavioral disorders, school challenges, and navigating the IEP process. She has a passion for improving parent-child attachments, reducing suicidal thoughts, and helping with postpartum struggles. She is LBGT affirmative. Kathy graduated from Ohio State University with a BS degree in Psychology. She then went on to pursue her Masters in Social Work degree from California State University, Sacramento. She has been approved by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences for the past 9 1/2 years to supervise therapists seeking their clinical licensure. Mentoring trainee and intern therapists and social workers is a passion she holds closely.
