
Jeff Decker is a Certified Internal Auditor with over 20 years experience in the education field. He has worked for several non-profit institutions, including Heald College and Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu and most recently at DePauw University in Indiana. He has also taught internationally in China and the United Arab Emirates. He has served on the board of directors for a non-profit credit union and has several years of experience as a financial analyst/controller in the manufacturing sector. He has degrees from Ball State University, the University of Oregon and a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona.

Julie serves as the Community Relations Coordinator for Lighthouse, sharing the mission and vision of our organization. As an ambassador for Lighthouse, she promotes our programs and services and helps foster positive relationships in the south Placer County communities we serve. Julie has a deep, personal passion for spreading awareness of Lighthouse to increase our impact so that others can be equipped with the tools they need to overcome their challenges. Her diverse background in hospitality, education, design and planning lends itself well to the coordination of our annual fund raising event and the creation of our communication materials.
When not working at Lighthouse, Julie enjoys supporting local businesses, service clubs and other nonprofits. She also enjoys quiet time listening to podcasts and spending quality time in the mountains hiking her favorite trails.

Kania Ramirez serves as the Family Resource Center Manager, a role that aligns with her deep-rooted passion for helping others. In this position, she connects community members with the vital resources and programs offered through Lighthouse, working to empower individuals and families in their pursuit of a better quality of life. Kania is committed to building a strong, supportive community through continued outreach and meaningful partnerships. Outside of work, Kania enjoys spending quality time with her family and loves to travel.
