Ways to Help Lighthouse

Designate Lighthouse to receive your donation through campaigns conducted in your workplace, i.e. United Way, California State Employee Campaign, Company Matching Funds, etc. Processing an employer match is easy. Just complete the forms supplied by your employer and mail it to us with your donation — we’ll handle the rest!

Did you know you can designate Lighthouse to receive an on-going or one time gift via your employers Payroll Deduction program? Check with your employer to see about designating Lighthouse as your charity of choice through payroll deduction. Be sure to ask if your company matches your charitable contributions. Your Company may double or even triple your cash donation!

Lighthouse’s Celebrity Waiter Luncheon is an entertaining way to meet area celebrities including elected officials, police chiefs, athletes, and more as they entertain your table while serving meals and beverages. A VIP pre-lunch reception provides attendees an opportunity to interact with the celebrities on a deeper more personal level.

It’s easy! If you, your group, organization or workplace would like to hold a diaper drive to benefit the Lighthouse Diaper Bank, call us for more information and help coordinating your drive. It’s a great way to help children get the healthy start they need and to give parents the tools they need to succeed. Lighthouse is a member of the National Diaper Bank Network.

  Why Donate Diapers?/span>

Not every family can afford Christmas presents for their children over the holidays. Financially it can be a very trying time for the families that are unemployed or underemployed. If you are interested in providing direct support to a family please let us know by November 15, and we will try to match you up with a deserving family.

Additionally, Lighthouse has new, unwrapped toys available to families who have not been adopted through our Adopt-a-Family program. We also try to provide gift cards for the teens in those families, who are often hard to buy for. If you would like to host a toy drive or gift card drive to benefit those who have little to no means to supply gifts for their children, call our office for more information. Toy and gift card donations must be received no later than December 1.

Host a Backpack and School Supply Drive to help ensure that local underserved children are prepared for academic success.
Donations must be received by July 31.

Backpack Drive

When emergencies arise, Lighthouse may provide local Placer County residents with gift cards to meet their urgent needs for such basic necessities as gas, food, clothing and more. We can then connect these families in crisis with more long-term solutions to help them get back on their feet.

The issuance of a gift card can provide critical, temporary support to a family who is struggling, and help get them on the road to health and healing.

Your donation of gas or grocery cards will go a long way to help those in need.
